My plan for today is writing down how people should live to make climate change redundant. Is it enough - as a western european girl - to buy only organic, fair trade, almost vegan stuff to reduce CO2 Emmissions? To buy local to keep the emissions low? To support local structures and no big industries in other countries as well? Consuming against the capitalism - Is this really possible? Can we change the system through the system?
I believe yes. I am convinced that it is the only way to act as a reasponsable consumer and be aware of the fact that the trouser I buying here has a story and that I can change it.
So - more details will come. I am writing an article about it in our threemonthly magazine SPUNK from the GREEN YOUTH Germany where I am member of the board.

Today is my last day in the European World of Brussels. The strange thingie called European Parliament has been hosting me for four months now and it was a good experience to see how European politics go in the centre of Europe...or better to say how European professionals deal compared to NGOs with European politics..

The first real Global Young Greens conference was the founding conference and took place in Nairobi (Kenya). 130 people from all over the world disussed several issues related to environment, health, gender, democracy and so on. Finally we founded the global networkorganization Global Young Greens - GYG.
It was a very great experience to be again in Africa with greens from all over the world and discuss different situations in different countries and different approaches to a same topic.
